It’s been a very long time since Yahoo has personally impressed me. In the 90’s they were the number one directory (search engine) in the world and even so popular they could charge a $200 fee just to apply to be in the directory. Through what I believe to be lack of communication and mismanagement they dropped their search engine a couple years back and have finally been purchased by Verizon.

The Latest Yahoo Email Problem

It’s seems the latest Yahoo mail format has cause problems with a few of my in home computer support clients.  I recently made a computer troubleshooting house call to an in home computer client in Ewa Beach. My client could only get to the first page of Yahoo mail. There were no next page buttons or arrows. My computer client was afraid he/she clicked on something. By the way getting relatives to help you get out of this problem usually leads to a frustrated look stating “I don’t know what you did”. I’m here to assure you, you did nothing it’s Yahoo email.

Here’s The Steps I Took to Resolve The Yahoo Email Problem

Cleared the history

Be careful when you do this. I’ve had in home computer clients not be able to find their favorite websites because they didn’t bookmark them or add them to favorites. Bookmarking and adding to Favorites are the same thing it just depends on what your particular internet browser call it.

Removed cookies and temporary internet files

You can do this through the browser, but I use various applications that do a very thorough job of this which can be found in my maintenance and computer virus removal ebook Secrets to Computer Virus Removal - How I Ticked Off My Competitors

I always closed and restarted the internet browser after this. I even tried Yahoo email on different internet browsers testing on both Google Chrome and Edge. Edge is the little e in Windows 10 and has replaced Internet Explorer.

Reset to Basic

I finally reset Yahoo email to Basic. After this the page arrows reappeared on the top and bottom of the Yahoo mail page.

If You’re On Oahu Call or Text Me

Your technical problem may be different and require a different solution.
